DIXI Resource Centre, Stavanger
The resource centre in Stavanger opened in January 1999 and is located at Madlaveien 13, 2nd floor, in Sanitetsforeningens hus. Our premises are intimate and you’ll find a calm atmosphere here with us.
Opening hours: Fridays, 09.00–15.00
The Dixi Resource Centre in Stavanger also has its own website, see here. DIXI Stavanger is able to offer one-on-one chats and discussion groups for rape victims and their families. The centre also helps out with information and details on the public assistance agencies and your rights and obligations.
Everyone who works with us has experienced rape or other some other kind of sexual assault, so this means our clients feel we understand them – something they don’t encounter elsewhere. We don’t provide treatment here at the centre, but we do offer you help to help yourself. We want to try to help clients to work through their emotions and put into words all the things they’re feeling. Clients set their own pace and tell us what they want to tell us, while our staff listen and give advice.
You’re always very welcome to get in touch with us!
Best regards
